 I have been wanting a cake stand for a while now. I thought it would be nice to have one so that I could decorate my kids birthday cakes easier. The top spins so that you do not have to lift a cake plate and turn it to get the other side of the cake. It is made out of Aluminum and it has a little bit of weight to it. It spins easily and it has a removable silicone disk on the bottom to keep it from sliding around on the table or counter. IT is 12 inches but it has rings to mark off smaller cakes.Over all this is a nice cake stand.
